Dr. Misty Patton

Dr. Misty Patton is an accomplished healthcare and education leader with more than 26 years of progressive leadership experience across academic medical centers, healthcare education, nonprofit organizations, and career technical education institutions. Throughout her career, she has built sustainable workforce pathways, led community health initiatives, and driven measurable outcomes in some of the Bay Area’s most respected healthcare and educational institutions.
 
Dr. Patton currently serves as Director, Contra Costa/Tri-Valley for HealthForce Partners California, where she leads the development of regional healthcare sector partnerships and sustainable career pathways, convening employers, educators, and community stakeholders to strengthen the local healthcare workforce pipeline. She also holds active roles as a UCSF CTSI Community Advisory Board member and federal grant reviewer for SAMHSA and HRSA.
 
Previously, Dr. Patton held leadership roles including Education Program Manager at Stanford University School of Medicine’s Center for Continuing Medical Education, Professor and Faculty Senate President at Kaiser Permanente School of Allied Health Sciences, and Director of Health & Youth Development at 3rd Street Youth Center & Clinic, where she oversaw workforce, college access, and civic leadership programming. She also spent ten years in direct clinical practice at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital in Labor & Delivery and Trauma Services.
 
Dr. Patton holds an Ed.D. in Organizational Change and Administration from California Baptist University, where her dissertation examined burnout among case managers. She is currently located in Contra Costa, surrounded by her husband and two children, where she is able to pursue her passion of building healthcare career pathways that strengthen both individual lives and the communities she calls home.
