HealthForce Partners Advances Healthcare Career Opportunities Across San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties with New Grant, Participation in Health Professions Pathways Program

STOCKTON, Calif; April 17, 2024 – HealthForce Partners, a healthcare sector partnership for the Northern San Joaquin Valley, is pleased to announce its recent grant of $1,773,117 with the State of California's Department of Health Care Access and Information (HCAI) to participate in the Health Professions Pathways Program. This grant agreement signifies a significant milestone in HealthForce Partners' commitment to promoting diversity in the healthcare workforce, while addressing healthcare accessibility challenges in California.

The grant agreement, facilitated by HCAI's Health Professions Careers Opportunity Program, aims to inform and motivate minority and disadvantaged students to pursue health professional careers. Through comprehensive academic enrichment, career development, and internships, the program seeks to support economically disadvantaged and underrepresented groups in their pursuit of health careers. This grant to HealthForce Partners will enable the organization to further its mission of fostering career pathways and addressing workforce shortages in the healthcare sector.
