FUNERAL EXPENSES ASSISTANCE FOR COVID-19 DEATHS
FEMA will begin providing financial assistance for funeral expenses incurred after Jan. 20, 2020 for deaths related to COVID-19 to help ease some of the financial stress and burden caused by the pandemic. FEMA will begin accepting applications for Funeral Assistance on Monday, April 12, 2021 through their call center – 844-684-6333.
VACCINATIONS AVAILABLE REGARDLESS OF IMMIGRATION STATUS
Vaccinations are free no matter what your immigration or citizenship status is. Vaccinations do not count under the public charge rule. You should not be asked about your immigration or citizenship status when you get a COVID-19 vaccine.
VACCINATIONS FOR 16+ BEGINS APRIL 15
With supply of vaccines expected to significantly increase in the coming weeks, the state is expanding vaccine eligibility to more Californians. Individuals 16+ will be eligible to make an appointment to be vaccinated starting on April 15.
