CHILDCARE FOR ESSENTIAL WORKERS
Governor Gavin Newsom announced the release of $100 million to support child care services, and to support child care providers who are stepping up to serve essential infrastructure workers and vulnerable populations and their children during this critical time.
UBER: FREE MEALS & TRANSPORTATION
Uber has committed to providing free transportation and meals for frontline workers and responders. They are providing transportation for front-line healthcare workers, both to and from patients’ homes, as well as between healthcare facilities. They will also provide 300,000 free meals on Uber Eats to first responders and healthcare workers.
CRISIS INTERVENTION LINES
The mental health effects of COVID-19 are as important to address as are the physical health effects. San Joaquin, Stanislaus, and Merced counties offer 24/7 Crisis Intervention Lines that are staffed by psychiatric technicians and mental health physicians.
