HealthForce Partners is supported by a wide variety of organizations within the Northern San Joaquin Valley. Case in point: the partnership has secured a commitment of $250,000 per year for three years from healthcare employers, educational institutions, and philanthropic organizations in the region.

“The force behind HealthForce Partners is that we all have a stake in building a local healthcare workforce,” said Interim Executive Director Lita Wallach. “The depth and breadth of support the partnership has received from healthcare employers, educational institutions, workforce development agencies, and philanthropic organizations demonstrates the importance and value of working together to solve education and workforce issues.”

The concept for HealthForce Partners was developed with San Joaquin Delta College and the Delta Sierra Adult Education Alliance, with backbone support from Community Health Leadership Council. After completion of a planning grant from the Community Foundation of San Joaquin, the partnership was recently awarded renewed and expanded support as part of the Foundation’s 2019 funding.
“The groundswell of support from healthcare and education indicates how serious a need there is for a hub like HealthForce Partners,” said Community Foundation of San Joaquin CEO Moses Zapien. “Not only do the partners all work together to develop new programs to grow the local healthcare workforce, they have also all invested in the partnership. That’s a real recipe for success.”
HealthForce Partners also leverages significant in-kind support, including the provision of office space at San Joaquin County Employment and Economic Development / WorkNet and meeting space from California State University Stanislaus at its Stockton Center. HealthForce Partners has also forged a key partnership with United Way of San Joaquin County for administrative, fiscal, and nonprofit compliance services.
